Paul Allsopp Joins FM Soccer Club as Director of Coaching

FM Soccer Club is always looking for ways to improve our program to accommodate each child’s ability and desire to play at various levels of competition.

That is why we are so excited to introduce our new Director of Coaching, Paul Allsopp.

Paul’s passion for soccer began at a young age growing up in England where he played at the academy and semi-professional levels. He is dedicated to helping players of all levels and abilities reach their full potential by first developing their love for the game; believing that when a child is truly enjoying soccer they will play confidently and be inspired to work hard and practice in their own time. This foundation fosters instinctive, creative players that will enjoy the game for years to come.

A UEFA B certified soccer coach; Paul has over ten years of experience working with professional soccer organizations such as New York Red Bulls and AFC Bournemouth. His leadership in both community and elite youth soccer programs as Director of Coaching and Assistant Regional Manager, makes him uniquely qualified for this position. Paul has recently stepped in as the interim Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at Cazenovia College and is currently teaching a sports coaching course on Team Sports at Syracuse University’s School of Education. He also owns and runs English Soccer Schools, which focuses on teaching soccer skills to youth players. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Master’s in Business studies.

As FM Soccer Club’s director of coaching, Paul will be working across our recreation and travel programs acting as a point of contact for parents, coaches and players on player development and coaching education. More clinics and camps will become available for rec and travel players as well as more opportunities for coaches to build upon their own knowledge and experience. Paul will be available to assess players and teams, help develop session plans and introduce new games, drills and activities for effective practice sessions. Our travel committee will be working closely with Paul to form teams, create tryout schedules and evaluate local league and tournament options.

Paul’s experience and approach to youth sports makes him a great fit for FM Soccer Club. We feel incredibly fortunate to have him as the newest member of our team and hope you will join us in warmly welcoming him to our community.

He can be reached at [email protected].
